Teaching is an important part of my work as a musician, as it allows me to share the knowledge I've gained over my years of study and experience as a performer. In turn, I learn to refine and continue developing as an artist through the didactic process. I have had the privilege to work in a number of educational settings whether it be giving talks and public masterclasses to advanced students to working with children in a school setting. Each opportunity is a learning experience for me and I hope to impart strong technical foundations alongside developing sensitivity to music and its interpretation.
I accept students of all ages and abilities from absolute beginners looking to begin their journey, to consummate professionals searching for a new perspective. I have had experience with all types of students and am committed to meeting the needs of the student and working to guide them to the best of their abilities and meanwhile, make the process fun and enjoyable. Thus far my students have a 100% pass rate with ABRSM piano and music theory exams and have high rates of Merit and Distinction.
I currently teach from my home in Harrow, a short walk from Northwick Park/Kenton station. I am also fully DBS Checked (Enhanced DBS Certificate). In addition to in-person lessons, I also offer online lessons and in special circumstances am able to travel to a student's home (though this comes at additional cost).
