British-Singaporean pianist Tiffany Buxton is rapidly establishing a reputation as a versatile and thoughtful pianist and chamber musician. Acclaimed for her “sense of poetry”, “refined touch … and all-rounded musical personality” (The Straits Times), Tiffany is equally at-home with core repertoire as with contemporary and lesser-known works.
Tiffany has already performed extensively at venues around the UK and is regularly invited to perform at music festivals around England. In recent years she has performed abroad, including in France, Germany, and Canada.
Tiffany has been awarded prizes at competitions including Singapore’s 12th National Piano Competition and has won first prizes at the Asia Arts Festival, West London Piano Festival and North London Music Festival, amongst others. She has received masterclasses and lessons from professors such as Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, Peter Donohoe, Christopher Elton, Akiko Ebi, William Fong, Stephen Hough, and Pascal Nemirovski.
Tiffany works frequently as a collaborative pianist, and regularly performs as part of several chamber groups and ensembles. She was invited to perform as an orchestral pianist with the RNCM Wind Orchestra conducted by Christian Lindberg, and was resident accompanist at the Purcell School for two years. Her interest in contemporary music also led her to perform in the world premiere of Simon Parkin's Goldberg Jazz Variations.
In 2022 Tiffany completed her BMus (Hons) at the Royal Northern College of Music, where she studied under the tutelage of Colin Stone. She subsequently studied with Fabio Bidini, Hung-Kuan Chen and Joanna MacGregor at the Banff Centre, Canada, for which she received a scholarship from the Cyril and Elizabeth Challice Fund for Musicians.
From September 2025 she will pursue postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music, London. Tiffany is grateful for support from the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe, the Craxton Memorial Trust, the Hattori Foundation, and Talent Unlimited.
