Praised for her “superb pianism and intelligent musicianship” (Pianist magazine), Tiffany Buxton is establishing herself as one of the most exciting pianists of her generation. She graduated with First Class Honours from the Royal Northern College of Music, where she studied with Colin Stone, before completing a Master of Music in Performance with Norma Fisher and Simon Lepper at the Royal College of Music, London. She is now pursuing a Professional Diploma in Ensemble Piano at the Royal Academy of Music with Michael Dussek and Andrew West.

Tiffany has performed at concert series and festivals across the UK, Europe, Asia and North America, at venues including the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, St John’s Smith Square, St Martin-in-the-Fields and Steinway Hall. Her competition successes include first prize at the Asia Arts Festival and the audience prize at Singapore’s National Piano Competition (2019), and she was a finalist for the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship (2020).

She has worked with world-renowned pianists including Stephen Hough, Peter Donohoe, Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, Philippe Cassard, Christopher Elton, Pascal Nemirovski, William Fong, Graham Scott, and Angela Brownridge. In 2024 she was selected for the Chopin-Gesellschaft’s Internationaler Meisterkurs für Pianisten in Darmstadt, and performed at the Pianale Academy and Festival, where she received guidance from Ronan O’Hora, Dina Yoffe, Akiko Ebi, Elena Levit and Uta Weyand. More recently, she was awarded the Cyril and Elizabeth Challice Scholarship to attend the Banff Centre in Canada, where she studied with Fabio Bidini, Hung-Kuan Chen and Joanna MacGregor.

A keen chamber musician, Tiffany regularly partners instrumentalists and singers. She has a particular affinity for art song, having won the accompanist award at both the RCM Lieder Competition and the RNCM Bessie Cronshaw/Frost Brownson Song Cycle Competition, and was recently selected to accompany the Academy Voices recital series at the Royal Academy of Music and the Austrian Cultural Forum.

Tiffany is also a dedicated teacher and is passionate about community engagement. Alongside her private studio in London, she has given masterclasses at the Purcell School, where she previously served as staff pianist, working closely with some of the country’s most gifted young musicians. She regularly takes part in projects with Open Academy, the Royal Academy of Music’s community and outreach programme, and was recently selected to perform at Wigmore Hall for Singing with Friends, a weekly choir for people living with dementia and their families and carers.
