Described as having “superb pianism and intelligent musicianship” (Pianist Magazine), Tiffany Buxton is establishing herself as one of the most exciting young pianists of this generation. Having graduated with a BMus from the Royal Northern College of Music, she is now studying with Norma Fisher at the Royal College of Music, London. Tiffany has previously studied under esteemed pedagogues, including Pascal Nemirovski, Graham Scott, Colin Stone, and Rena Phua, and receives regular coaching from Simon Lepper and Kathryn Sturrock. Tiffany is grateful to the Craxton Memorial Trust and the Drake Calleja Trust for their generous support.
Tiffany has performed to international acclaim, receiving the audience prize at Singapore’s National Piano Competition in December 2019. She also received an Honourable Mention at the Nanyang International Music Competition 2020 and was a keyboard finalist in the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship competition. Tiffany has performed in esteemed venues including London’s Steinway Hall, King’s Place, St. James’s Sussex Gardens, the Austrian Cultural Forum, Stoller Hall, and Warwick Arts Centre, as well as Vienna’s Bösendorfer Salon and Canada’s Rolston Recital Hall.
In 2024 Tiffany was invited to participate in the Chopin-Gesellschaft’s week-long Internationaler Meisterkurs für Pianisten in Darmstadt, Germany. She also performed at the Pianale Academy and Festival, where she received tuition from Ronan O’Hora, Dina Yoffe, Akiko Ebi, Elena Levit, and Uta Weyand. In 2025 Tiffany received a generous scholarship from the Cyril and Elizabeth Challice Fund to attend the prestigious Banff Centre in Canada, where she studied with Fabio Bidini, Joanna MacGregor and Hung-Kuan Chen. Tiffany has received further masterclass tuition from several highly acclaimed pianists including Sir Stephen Hough, Peter Donohoe, Christopher Elton, Michael Lewin, Angela Brownridge, Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, and Philippe Cassard.
Beyond her solo work, Tiffany enjoys collaborative playing and regularly accompanies instrumentalists and vocalists. She works as a duo with cellist Stefan Rogers, with whom she has performed at Southwark Cathedral, St. Mary Abbots Church, and St. Ann’s Church. With an affinity for art song, Tiffany was an accompanist on the RNCM Songsters Scheme for three consecutive years, receiving regular coaching from Julius Drake. She went on to win first prize and the accompanist award in the Lieder Competition in 2022. During her studies, her role as an accompanist involved masterclass tuition from Michael Dussek, David Jones, Jeremy Young, Qian Wu, Paloma Kouider, Donald Grant, and Petr Prause.
Tiffany is also an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher, drawing on her experience as an international performer. Beyond her private teaching studio in London, she has led masterclasses and served as resident accompanist at The Purcell School, where she enjoyed working closely with some of the country’s most gifted young musicians.
